Why “shave” a beach pebble?

Pebbles used in “normal” mosaic products must be sorted or “gauged” to achieve a relatively flat surface. Usable pebbles and color choices are limited to pebbles which lend themselves to the “gauging” process, making the introduction of new colors and pebble choices almost impossible.

Shaved Pebble Mosaic™ products, a Ning Collection™ exclusive, is literally a process of “shaving” off the bottom off the pebble, leaving the top natural and 100% untouched. By shaving, we can offer vast new choices in colors, pebbles, and mosaic products.

Installation and grouting are as easy as installing tile or other stone products. As an alternative to cutting these mosaics, simply pull the stones from an extra mosaic and place them, as needed, to fill any voids within the installation.
